Why Mentoring Matters

Talent is everywhere. Opportunity isn’t.

Many young people in South Florida have the passion for music, performance, and production, but they rarely have access to professionals who can show them how the industry really works.

At Florida Youth at Risk, we’re connecting youth with real-world mentors who can open doors, share knowledge, and inspire the next generation of creators.

Summer Music & Creative Arts Camp | Now Enrolling

May-June–July 2026 | South Florida

This summer, give young creatives the opportunity to explore music, performance, and the entertainment industry alongside experienced professionals.

​

We’re bringing together artists, producers, and industry leaders to guide the next generation through hands-on learning and real-world insight.

​

We’re looking for:

​

  • Music producers & engineers

  • Songwriters & performers

  • Creative directors & marketers

  • Industry professionals (legal, branding, management)

 

Camp Experience Includes:

​

  • Studio sessions & beat-making

  • Songwriting & live performance coaching

  • Branding & artist development

  • Music business fundamentals

  • Live production & stage experience

6–8 Week Mentoring Program

Beyond the camp, we are building a 6–8 week mentorship program for youth interested in deeper industry exposure.

Mentors will work with small groups of students to:

• Develop creative skills
• Understand career pathways in music and entertainment
• Learn professional workflows
• Build confidence and leadership

 

We are especially looking for professionals in:

• Music production & sound engineering
• Stage management and stage hands
• Lighting technicians
• Live sound technicians
• Artist management
• Marketing & social media
• Entertainment attorneys
• Financial advisors for creatives
• Event producers and showcase coordinators
